Directed Tier 1 Spending: What Is It and How Does It Impact Your Company and Industry?

The “Directed Tier 1” concept has been moving through supplier diversity circles for several years. But, what is it, exactly? In certain situations, an OEM selects Tier 2 Suppliers to work with Tier 1 Suppliers to guarantee quality, supply, and other purchasing standards are achieved. While the OEM does not directly pay the Tier 2 Supplier, the Tier 2 spend is more appropriately counted as a directed Tier 1 spend since the OEM controlled much of the process.

Find out more about Directed Tier 1 spending and how this procurement strategy might be helpful and relevant to your business goals with detailed examples and a Q&A period.
