Hard Pivots, Atomic Time and a New Vision of the American Dream.

During the 1980’s, Chris Gardner struggled with homelessness while raising a toddler son – a gripping story told through his autobiography, “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which became a successful movie where he was portrayed by actor Will Smith. In 2007, Will Smith was nominated for an academy award as best actor for his portrayal as Chris Gardner. Through perseverance, he became a stockbroker, eventually founding his own brokerage firm in 1987.

Since then, Mr. Gardner has generated business success and shared his generosity through philanthropic endeavors. In his NMSDC Leadership Series Keynote Address, Mr. Gardner will discuss the three most important decisions he made in his life, Hard Pivots, Atomic Time and a New Vision of the American Dream. He will also share the greatest gift that he ever received which was the Permission 2 Dream.
